Friends of Sowerby School (FOSS) are established to provide closer links between home and school and to bring staff and parents together in supporting the needs of the school and children.

Primarily FOSS raises much needed funds by organising a variety of fund raising events such as the Summer and Christmas Fayres, social events, cake stalls, social events, tombolas and raffles. It also supports the school by organising and distributing school photographs and the school uniform orders as well as arranging press releases and publicity.

In the past, funds raised have been spent on improving equipment, purchasing toys and educational resources to enhance our children’s education but since Autumn Term 2009, funds raised through FOSS go towards paying for as many trips, visiting live theatre productions and educational workshops as possible in each academic year to broaden their learning experience.

All parents, carers and other family members are very welcome to become involved with FOSS; either on the core committee or as a member of the support group to help out with fundraising activities or to join in with social events – the more the merrier! School Uniform Orders

Regular uniform orders are sent via the school, alternatively if you wish to order school uniform and other school accessories such as book bags, caps etc directly on-line, please visit www.apc-clothing.co.uk.  

We are listed on the right-hand side of the page as Sowerby CP School.  (Please note that P&P is payable when ordering directly via the apc website).
